I am an Aunt of a F/M transgender and over the years while he has transitioned. I noticed that his undergarments were an issue and at times very painful!
QUES: if you could have a pair of briefs designed just for you?
What you looking for?
Any ideas, comments, resources or just to chat would be very useful.
I am not all hip on the terms and I know there is much more to learn about this world butt my love for y nephew fuels my mission!

I have held off writing anything until I could talk to a couple of F2Ms I know, but the Christmas season has interferred. I am sure you are aware of the breast binders that most F2Ms have to wear, as you spoke of the pain, and those do cause some pain if the breasts are not carefully placed, or the individual goes for smaller than optimum in an effort to get a small chest. I have noticed and heard from the F2M guys that it seems crazy that they all have larger than average breasts, though that is actually a generalization that does not hold true.
As far as briefs, the often want them to be roomy enough to hold "packer" prosthesis that give the appearance of having male tackle in the appropriate location. These often have an elastic strap to hold them on. However, there are underwear that are designed for the packers, that have a kind of cup that hold them in place so the strap is not needed.
Those who have a rather curvey shape naturally, may wear a kind of vest that gives the illusion of a less curvy shape. That is usually made unnecessary after a year or so on testosterone, as body fat shifts in response, along with the voice. However, the buttocks area takes a lot longer to become more male like, and the bone structure of the hips does not change, so that is never totally complete.
Most sleeves of shirts are not the right length, and the same goes for suit coats and jackets. As long as the look is casual, it is not a matter for concern. However, more formal wear needs some tailoring, in both the coat and pants. That, of course if outer wear, not undies.
Hope that helps you. I am sure that your nephew is aware of the online resources available, and there is lots of info on useful items on most of those sites.
