To become a member of Beginning Life, someone must be in the process of transition and intends to complete their transition (or has already done so). Significant Others (SO as defined here) and Married Partners of transsexuals, being recognized as compassionate caregivers by the Beginning Life membership and Moderators, are also invited to join Beginning Life. The difference with an SO or MP is, if their transsexual partner resigns or is removed from the message boards, so their access is also removed.

It should be stated that the given understanding regarding the nature of Transsexuals, is that they cannot endure the experience of living life in the gender role to which they were born into, and seek to change such a life at all costs.

An individual who intends to live in perpetuity as a male while taking female hormones, or conversely, to live in perpetuity as a female while taking male hormones, does not meet the required criteria of what is required to join Beginning Life, and will not be allowed to do so. If at any time such an individual is discovered to have joined Beginning Life, their access to the web site will be removed.


"Applicants who wish to be members must be adults and can demonstrate they are in transition or are post op."

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Along with all the "Required Information" there are a few items of information we NEED under what our forum software considers "Optional Information".

We also need:

Location

Occupation

Interests

Your Gender under the "Gender:" field. Please fill that out. We are not looking for your birth gender, we want to know what Gender YOU feel that you are.
(Note: even if you feel like you will never be able to afford full reassignment surgery, the critical factor is your goal. You need not be postop to join. You need only seek this as your goal)

IN THE BIOGRAHY FIELD:
Please tell us a little bit about yourself and what you are doing or plan to do in transitioning.

At Beginning Life, we have always taken our mutual safety very seriously.

One of our rules is that Nobody may join just to be a member and lurk.

All members are expected to Post an Introduction on our Intro Forum within 7 days of acceptance.

Accounts that lie dormant will be Deleted.
