My rings are definitely longer than my indexes, on my left hand more so than in my right (I'm right handed). My boyfriend has the indexes longer on both hands. No idea if it means anything, it just is.
And no, as far as I know I'm not IS (kinda hard for me to believe since I wasn't a pretty boy prior to transition).

No....YOU didn't say anything!!
But Somebody...Somewhere said:

OHHHHHH.......PULLLEEEEEEEEZZZZZ
That's the largest one....right?
For kicks.....we have contests at work.....usually in the kitchen or breakroom......OK....ALWAYS in the kitchen or break room.
One day a gal screamed "OH MY GOD!".....got all our attention.
Another gal was licking frosting off of a large spoon and took the WHOLE spoon in her mouth. THAT is what freaked the other gal out.
I laughed.....said "That ain't nothin'!"
"Can YOU put that whole spoon in your mouth?"
"Sure.....grab the BIGGER spoon!!!!!"
Now remember...I have rather small lips....but evidently I can unhinge my jaws like a python (not really  )
So I grabbed the spoon....dipped some frosting....delicately licked the tip of the spoon (this was one of those large buffet serving spoons)...licked the bottom.....around the edge....and consumed the whole thing.
Squeals of delight went up all around!!!
(I gagged a little but was able to hide it thru the laughter)
Well......there you go!!!

Simply put, PAIS is Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, an intersex condition. CAIS is Complete Androgen Insensitivity syndrome. AIS is attributed to a mutation in a specific gene on the X chromosome strand, and is considered an X linked recessive. If you find that a child is AIS, the probability of a second AIS child born to the same woman is about 50%. Most AIS women have an 46 xy karotype, and since the body cannot take up androgen/testosterone to develop as a male, the body falls back to the natural pattern and the person develops along female lines. CAH in particular may have external genitalia typical of female, but all AIS lack internal organs (no uterus, probably incompletely developed ovaries if at all). The condition is usually discovered after the teen has no period.
Other intersex conditions include Congenital Adrenal Hypoplasia (CAH) when an 46xx fetus secretes a testosterone like substance from the adrenal gland at a critical time and the individual is born with a "penis" and empty, but small scrotal sac. The person may present male due to a Dr.s conclusion though they will be 46 xx males. People who are surgically corrected at birth have a high chance of being bisexual or preferring same sex partners, according to some sources, or being dissatisfied with the correction, experience gender dysphoria with "GID" like symptoms and want surgical correction.
Klienfelters syndrome (also known as a trisomy with a 47 xxy or variant karotype) and Turners syndrome which is a monosomy with 45 xo karyotype are also fairly common, though about 50% of Turners fetus' are spontaneously aborted. The latter two are due to chromosome strands not dividing evenly during mieosis, resulting in three or more sets of chromosomes in Kleinfelters adults, and in Turners babies the cell contains an incomplete chomosome strand due to the same division problem. Many men have the xxy pattern without any serious problems, while others may have ambiguous genitalia or very small genitals. Many have low sperm counts or are sterile, and this is the usual reason for the discovery.
Though the subject can provide insight to the development of children in the womb, there are currently attempts (fairly successful) to standardize a pathology model of all intersexed people as having Disorders of Sex Development (DSD) within the "medical community" rather than recognizing intersex as a part of the human somatic variation.
Of course, brought to you by the same people who view being TS as a matter of sex rather than a biological based gender identity.

I think the only real male indicator is the depth of my chest (it's narrower than my hips)

Mine are within 1mm of each other. On my Left hand the ring finger is 1mm longer and on my right hand the index finger is the one that's 1mm longer.
Of course I haven't taken into account the margin of error of the measuring device (a ruler) or the measurer (me, when I was tired). AFAIK, my fingers are pretty darned close to being the same size.

FWIW, my index finger is 1/16 inch longer than my ring finger depending on if I measure from the outside of the crease, the middle, or the inside of the finger/hand crease. So guess you can make what you want of it depending on where you measure. At the center of the finger of each digit, my index is 1/16 in. longer than the ring.

Finger Lengths! Have you ever noticed??
I sat in class last night and tried to note each person's hands and their finger lengths.....pretty amazing! Some of the men's index fingers were VERY stubby.....others about the same. In MY obeservations last night - Men seem to exhibit the greater "variety" of finger lengths.....while women are more consistent.....
