HealthCare Reform Bill, Infor wanted

How come so many Conservative Americans are so hysterical about the Health Care Reform Bill, and indeed to a decent Social Security System. Compared to Australia, or Europe, these proposals are very modest. Yet on Certain right wing board we hear about death threats, Civil Disobedience, claims of "Death Panels", none of which is supported by ANY evidence.

People are reacting as though President Obama, has suspended elections, declared the Constitution, and declared America to be The Socialist Republic of the United States. I am at a loss to Understand why. Can some of the Americans on this Forum explain it to me. I di ask on the Baen Books forum--which is quite far right, but all I got was abuse
